The Mansfield Public Library welcomes and encourages residents to volunteer their time and talents to enrich and support library services. Volunteers are needed on a regular basis and may be needed for special events, projects and activities.
If you are at least 12 years old and interested in volunteering at the Library, please call us at 817-728-3690. All volunteers will be trained and supervised by the library staff.
The Mansfield Public Library requires criminal background checks on all volunteers age 15 and older.
The volunteer intake is currently closed due to high demand. If you have questions, please contact our volunteer coordinator, Alison Sexton, at 817-728-3695 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Teen Advisory Group (TAG) is a member led library program for teens 13 years to 17 years old. Come hang out with snacks, activities, and help plan library programming.
Normal TAG meetings occur every Third Thursday of the month from 5-6 p.m. Meeting dates are subject to change, see the library calendar at mansfieldtexas.gov/calendar for specific TAG meeting dates.
Starting in September 2023, TAG will move the meeting dates to every Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. Members are not required to attend weekly and may arrive anytime after 4 p.m.
TAG uses the private communication platform Discord to communicate among members. TAG members must be 13 years of age in order to create a Discord account.
If teens would like to earn volunteer hours for helping to plan library programs, email the Mansfield Public Library Volunteer Coordinator, Alison Sexton, at email@example.com. Volunteering is optional.
Teens must sign up for TAG before attending meetings.
