- Pond Branch Linear Park
Pond Branch Linear Park stretches from East Kimball Street along Pond Branch Creek, running parallel to Main Street in Historic Downtown Mansfield and adding a distinctive, natural element to one of the city's most unique and long-standing neighborhoods. Visitors travel along a 10 foot-wide paved trail under a canopy of trees. The park has a gristmill-themed appearance, with concrete paths, sandstone walls and rock seating areas. A 70 foot-wide steel pedestrian bridge at Kimball Street links area homes to the business district, a much-needed connection lost to flooding many years ago. Construction on the project was completed and celebrated with an official dedication in February 2018. Pond Branch Linear Park includes a ten-foot wide lighted paved trail and a plaza area near the East Broad Street bridge with seating and gathering areas.
