Fun Runs and 5ks

Fun run and 5k races are a great way to raise funds or get the community involved in your cause. The Walnut Creek Linear Trail has a certified USATF 5K course built in to the route. Staff can supply applicants with a copy of the map to save  time and money in planning the event. The linear trail route uses Katherine Rose Memorial Park as a home base for the start/finish line, allowing for parking, other event-related activities and restrooms. Races held outside the linear trail using city streets require a separate special event permit.

To host a race in Mansfield, please contact the MAC for an application and more detailed information. All applications are subject to approval.

Download the application and email the completed form to mac@mansfieldtexas.gov or bring it to the MAC in person to apply. Payment and copy of insurance are due at the time of application.
