The online permitting system is a combination of web-based (Online Portal) applications integrated with the electronic plan review (ePlans ProjectDox) which allows self-service capabilities for various permitting, plan review, payment activities and offers applicants the convenience to check the status of their projects online at any time in addition to saving travel and printing costs.
Single trade building permits such as plumbing, electrical or mechanical can be submitted via the city’s online MyGov system .
Users can create a one-time only account, fill out an online commercial or residential building permit application by electronically entering information on an online form. After basic information about the scope of work and permit application is provided, the permit staff will verify information and address and will assess any application fees. Once fees are paid and the application is completed, users can upload the minimum submittal requirements for review.
Users can upload project plans and supporting materials, view and receive project corrections, and track project status. Staff of different disciplines can review the same set of plans concurrently, thereby reducing processing times.
