Fire Department

The Mansfield Fire Department is here to serve our citizens, businesses and visitors during these unprecedented times. Unfortunately we must alter some of the services and functions we provide until this current situation improves:

  • We must ask the public not to come to the fire stations for tours, events or other needs, UNLESS it is an emergency. We have postponed all appearances at events. We are taking these drastic measures to reduce the exposure to our firefighters so they can remain healthy and respond to any calls for service.
  • The Fire Administration is open to support the firefighters and assist with anything we can. The Fire Marshal’s office will not be conducting annual fire inspections but is working to keep inspections related to construction moving forward.
  • If you have any flu-like symptoms and need an ambulance, please inform the dispatcher so we may take appropriate precautions. If you feel sick, please contact your physician.
  • If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, such as fever, shortness of breath or a cough, call 911 and please let the dispatchers know. This will help determine what level of protection your firefighters/paramedics will wear.

The Library is Closed, but what about my items?

  • Current holds have been suspended, but not canceled. You will not be able to pick up your holds while the library is closed. Holds will be processed and ready to be picked up once the library is safe to open.
  • Although you can’t come to the library in person, you can access all of our free digital resources online.
