Building Safety

The Building Safety Department is committed, through a cooperative effort with our residents, to providing outstanding service by ensuring commercial buildings and residential homes constructed, altered, or maintained in Mansfield meet the recognized standard for overall quality of life and building safety.

ONLINE APPLICATION AND PLAN REVIEW

The Avolve Online Application and ProjectDox Electronic Plan Review Systems implemented in January 2020 allow us to process your applications for building permits and conduct the required plan reviews electronically. All applications, plans, and payments associated with permits and registrations will be processed via our online systems.

BUILDING PERMIT FEE CHANGES

On September 12, 2022, City Council approved fee changes that included building permit fees which became effective immediately.

Based on the new permit fee schedule all building permits will be issued as blanket permits. Individual trade permits must still be obtained even though there is no further cost involved.

The new fee schedule can be found here.
