Pop Up Fun
There's nothing we love more than surprising you with a good time! Follow Mansfield Parks & Rec on Facebook and Instagram for the latest news, including special pop up events and activities we will announce with no more than 24 hours notice to keep you on your toes!
Chandler Park Splash Pad
Cool off at our popular splash pad, located within Clayton Chandler Park, 1530 N Walnut Creek Drive! No fees or admission, the water is on from 10am-8pm every day from Memorial Day through Labor Day, and limited hours after that until the end of September. The splash pad is geared towards little ones but fun for all; space and seating is all first come, first served and please be sure to observe all posted rules.
Park Scavenger Hunts
Fishing is allowed at any public park and a great family activity. Click here to see a list of Mansfield parks with fishing ponds, as well as the rules & regulations regarding fishing.
Walnut Creek Linear Trail
Our most popular park amenity is the Walnut Creek Linear Trail, which stretches for miles, connecting multiple parks and neighborhoods along the way. Click here for the map and different access points, then make a day of exploring the trail by bike, scooter, or just walking! Most of the trail is shaded by the thick woods, making it a cool and comfortable excursion all summer long.
