Retirees
The City of Mansfield is proud to offer eligible retirees comprehensive and valuable benefits programs designed to meet their health and financial needs.
City of Mansfield retirees under the age of 65 may stay on one of the city's group plans, which gives them the same options as an active employee.
The City of Mansfield requires retirees age 65 and older and their spouses (if applicable) to enroll in Medicare. Those employees and their spouses (if applicable) will enroll in Medicare for plans A, B, D and G. The City of Mansfield will reimburse the premium cost of A, B, D and G if a penalty exists.
To be eligible for post-retirement benefits, employees must retire under the Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) and have 10 years of service with the City of Mansfield.
