Geyer Commons

Historic charm and modern living will come together to create Geyer Commons, Mansfield’s dynamic new shopping and lifestyle destination. Built on the site of the city’s first ballfield, Geyer Commons will serve as the eastern gateway to Historic Downtown Mansfield. The development will include diverse shops and restaurants in relocated and/or reconstructed historic homes, an artisan market and business incubator, and unique public spaces for gathering and play.

As a result of the City of Mansfield and Mansfield ISD working together, the property located at 605 E. Broad will be the future home to the remarkable Geyer Commons development.

Born from a partnership

Geyer Commons would not be possible without the collaboration and joint vision between the City of Mansfield and Mansfield Independent School District. In November 2023, the two organizations met and voted to approved a property exchange where the City of Mansfield received the school district's property along Walnut Creek that includes Geyer Field, administration buildings, original Mansfield High School, historic Rock Gym, and additional developments, and Mansfield ISD received the City Hall facility and additional property behind at 1200 E. Broad St.
