CITIZENS COMMENTS FOR THE APRIL 6, 2020 

PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING

Citizen comments for the April 6, 2020 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting may be submitted by email. All comments must be received by 12:00 noon, Friday, April 3, 2020, for presentation to the Commissioners during the meeting.

NOTICE REGARDING DEVELOPMENT APPLICATIONS:

While City services will continue, we encourage our citizens to avoid visits to City Hall to limit potential exposure to the COVID-19 virus. As part of this effort, the Planning Department will no longer accept development applications at the Planning counter beginning March 19, 2020. Instead, residents, developers or consultants may submit Planning applications digitally.

Payments may be made with a credit card by phone or by sending a check by mail, Fedex or UPS. There is a 3% service charge for credit card payments. Payments must be received before an application will be reviewed by the City. 

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE APPLICATION DEADLINES HAVE NOT CHANGED.  Applications will only be accepted on the first and third Monday of each month from 8am to 12pm. The application calendars can be found at the Development Review link below.

To make an application for a Plat, please submit the following:

  • A scan of the completed application form, including a Property Owner’s Representation Form if necessary, in PDF format
  • A PDF of the proposed plat
  • A digital copy (DWG) of the plat using the North American Datum 1983 (NAD 83), Texas State Plane - North Central Zone (4202), GRID Coordinates.
  • A PDF of the following plans:
  • Water and Sanitary Sewer Layout
  • Drainage Plan
  • Access Plan
  • Storm Water Management Site Plan
  • Tree Survey as required by Landscape Administrator

To make an application for a Zoning Change, Specific Use Permit or Detailed Site Plan, please submit the following:

  • A scan of the completed application form, including a Property Owner’s Representation Form if necessary, in PDF format
  • A PDF of the legal description of the property
  • A digital copy (DWG) of the property boundaries using the North American Datum 1983 (NAD 83), Texas State Plane - North Central Zone (4202), GRID Coordinates.
  • A PDF copy of the proposed Development Plan
  • A PDF copy of the Building Elevations
  • A PDF of the Landscape Plan
  • A PDF of the Sign Plan
  • A PDF of the following plans:
  • Preliminary Water and Sanitary Sewer Layout
  • Preliminary Drainage Plan
  • Traffic Impact Analysis
  • Preliminary Storm Water Management Site Plan
  • Tree Survey as required by Landscape Administrator

The Planning Department administers land use and subdivision regulations designed to encourage the development of safe, accessible and attractive properties and the enhancement of property values in Mansfield. The department also provides technical assistance on zoning and development matters that go before the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council.
