Street & Traffic Operations
The Street Operations Department is responsible for maintaining and operating the City's roadways and infrastructure in order to lengthen their service life and to provide safe driving conditions for all citizens. In addition, this department also maintains concrete and natural drainage infrastructure.
The primary function of the street maintenance staff is to make both temporary and permanent repairs to City streets. These repairs include potholes, asphalt patches, concrete panel replacement and sidewalk repair including repairs to curb and gutter. In addition the staff maintains concrete and natural drainage infrastructure.

The Street Operations Department is not responsible for the maintenance of a drive approach
The Traffic Operations Department is responsible for maintaining and operating the City's traffic infrastructure and issues impacting traffic including:
- pavement markings
- pedestrian/golf cart crossings
- road visibility issues (such as overgrown trees blocking signage or visibility looking down the roadway)
- roadway signage
- traffic signals and school flashers
- street lights
