Hometown Holidays 2021 Updated

The City of Mansfield's annual Hometown Holidays is Dec. 3 and 4, 2021 in Historic Downtown Mansfield! Grab your friends and family and head to Main Street for two days of live entertainment, games, crafts, rides and more. Click here to purchase passes and tickets online.

Hometown Holidays Day 1 (5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3)

Join us on day one of Hometown Holidays for our annual tree lighting! The tree will be placed at The LOT Downtown, and the lighting ceremony will begin at roughly 6:30 p.m. After the tree-lighting ceremony, there will be a dazzling fireworks show. Here's what other fun awaits you and your family along Main Street on day one of Hometown Holidays: 

  • Sliding down the snow hill (on Friday, Dec. 3 only!) ($)
  • Live entertainment at The LOT Downtown
  • Photos with Santa Claus at The LOT Downtown (bring your own camera!) 
  • Holiday market with art vendors and food trucks
  • Games presented by the Merry Methodist Mansfield Medical Center Midway 
  • Ferris wheel ($)
  • Carousel ($) 
  • Craft corner 
  • Petting zoo (on Friday, Dec. 3 only!)

NOTE: It may be difficult to view the fireworks from The LOT Downtown. The best view of the fireworks will be at the intersection of Main and Oak streets. 

Hometown Holidays Day 2 (10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4)

Day two of Hometown Holidays is an all-day affair! Here's what to expect: 

  • Graceland Ninjaz (7 p.m.) and other live entertainment at The LOT Downtown
  • Photos with Santa Claus at The LOT Downtown (only from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4)
  • Holiday market with art vendors and food trucks
  • Games presented by the Merry Methodist Mansfield Medical Center Midway
  • Ferris wheel ($)
  • Carousel ($)
  • Craft corner 

Passes & Tickets 

This year's options for tickets and passes are below: 

  • Weekend Pass — For $30, enjoy unlimited use of the snow hill (Friday, Dec. 3 only), ferris wheel and carousel on both Dec. 3 and 4. 
  • One-Day Pass — For $20, enjoy unlimited use of the snow hill (Friday, Dec. 3 only), ferris wheel and carousel on either Dec. 3 or 4. If you want unlimited rides but will only be present for one of the two days of Hometown Holidays, this is the option for you. 

If you are not interested in unlimited rides, the snow hill (Friday, Dec. 3 only), ferris wheel and carousel will each cost $5 per ride. All games presented by the Merry Methodist Mansfield Medical Center Midway will be free to play.  

Passes and tickets can be purchased online or during the event at the ticket area located along Main Street outside of the Farr Best Theater (109 N. Main St.). Those who purchase passes and tickets online may pick them up at the Mansfield Activities Center (106 S. Wisteria St.) before 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, or pick them up during the event at the ticketing area along Main Street outside of the Farr Best Theater.

Children aged 2 and under may ride the carousel for free if they are accompanied by an adult who has a pass or a ticket. 

Children who are 36-48 inches in height must be accompanied by an adult who has a pass or a ticket to ride the ferris wheel. No one under 36 inches in height may ride the ferris wheel, and you must be at least 48 inches tall to ride the ferris wheel solo. All ferris wheel riders must have their own pass or ticket. 

Additionally, you must be at least 42 inches tall to ride the large snow hill. All snow hill riders must have their own pass or ticket and must ride solo.

Parking & Road Closures 

Main Street in Historic Downtown Mansfield will face closures beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3. The road will reopen by 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4. 

Broad Street will face closures on both sides of Main Street beginning at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3. The road will reopen by 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4. Detour signs will be placed near the Broad Street closures.

Several streets in and around Historic Downtown Mansfield will allow parking on just one side. If you park on a street near the event, please observe the signage that will be installed and park on the appropriate side of the road. 

Want additional parking options? Check our Historic Downtown Mansfield parking map. There are roughly 1,000 parking spaces within a 10-minute walk of the downtown core. Some options on the map may be unavailable due to road closures or temporary rule changes.
