The internship will provide hands-on experience in vital public library operations and independent projects that may satisfy most library school practicum courses. Mansfield Public Library will provide training, mentorship, a flexible work schedule, and assistance in successfully fulfilling your library school practicum.
Topics may include a general library overview, budgeting, programming, patron interaction, collection development, circulation, library promotion, Summer Reading Club, volunteer management, and a personal project of choice.
No prior library experience is required, but the applicant must provide a resume.
