MANSFIELD PARKS LIVE ON FACEBOOK

Stuck at home? We’re here to help! Tune in to Mansfield Parks on Facebook each weekday at 10 a.m. March 16-27 for a different live program. We’re teaching about animals, making crafts, doing experiments and more. It’s all the best our parks and recreation programs and events have to offer but right in your living room or wherever you watch your favorite device.

Each video will be linked here when complete, so you can check back at any time and watch them in whatever order you like. If you have an idea for a video you’d like to see, please send us an email parks@mansfieldtexas.gov or leave it in the comments of our video so we can try to add it in!

ABOUT OUR PARKS

All Mansfield Parks remain open for their normal hours of operation at this time. Normally, a two week break from school would mean our parks are flooded with happy families enjoying the fresh air and each other’s company. Normally, that would make us overjoyed! However, this is not a normal situation. The goal of these closures is to limit large crowds from gathering. Our parks are NOT closing, but we do ask you use caution before visiting over the next two week.

  • Please stay home if you or anyone in your family doesn’t feel well.
  • If you arrive to an already-packed playground, consider coming back another time, or hopping on the linear trail for a family walk instead of staying in the busy playground area.
  • We have increased our cleaning schedule and added additional sanitization for door handles and faucets, but the best precaution is simply to stay home and wait for this to pass.

LIBRARY INFORMATION

The Mansfield Public Library is closed along with other city facilities. Please review these important updates from their staff:

  • Outside book drops are open, but we ask that you hold on to your books that you currently have checked out. We have extended due dates.
  • Current holds have been suspended, but not canceled. You will not be able to pick up your holds while the library is closed. Holds will be processed and ready to be picked up once the library is safe to open.
  • Although you can’t come to the library in person, access all of our free digital resources at https://tinyurl.com/y6rlttt8.
