The following information is current as of 12 p.m. on Monday, March 16. For updates, please check here or on the city social media accounts.
The City of Mansfield is canceling all public programs, classes, activities and events beginning Saturday, March 14, until Monday, March 30, at which time the City will re-evaluate its position.
This includes PROGRAMS AND EVENTS of parks & recreation, library, environmental services, water utilities, the historical museum, the Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Farr Best Theater and Oliver Nature Park. The Mansfield Activities Center (MAC), the Mansfield Public Library, the Farr Best Theater and all athletics fields will close starting March 14 until March 30. All parks (other than athletic fields) remain open on normal schedules.
Registered participants in any parks & rec programs or events are being contacted and will be given full refunds. If you have a future program/class scheduled or a park pavilion rented, and no longer feel comfortable attending, you may cancel with no fees or penalties. Please complete this form and a member of the MAC staff will contact you to confirm the cancellation and refund. Please note, although the MAC is closed, we will have staff working modified hours. You can call them at (817) 728-3680 and if no one is there to assist you, they will return your call as soon as possible. For fastest response, please complete this contact form with your message and it can be routed to the right person to answer your questions.
All classes and one-time programs between March 14-30 have been canceled. In addition to that, the following special events have been cancelled. Any registered participants willbe contacted to receive their refund; if the event is rescheduled we will post that update here and on our social media accounts, @MansfieldTxParks.

We’re teaching about animals, making crafts, doing experiments and more. It’s all the best our parks and recreation programs and events have to offer but right in your living room or wherever you watch your favorite device.

3/16: Wildlife Ambassadors with Oliver Nature Park
All Mansfield Parks remain open for their normal hours of operation at this time. Normally, a two week break from school would mean our parks are flooded with happy families enjoying the fresh air and each other’s company. Normally, that would make us overjoyed! However, this is not a normal situation. The goal of these closures is to limit large crowds from gathering. Our parks are NOT closing, but we do ask you use caution before visiting over the next two week.
