City Council Updates

[ARCHIVED] City Council Preview 12-14-20

The regular City Council meeting Monday, Dec. 14, will begin at 5 p.m. followed by an executive session then an action agenda. There will also be a 7 p.m. public meeting. Due to the Christmas holidays, the City Council holds two meetings on the second Monday of December thereby complying with the City Charter amendment requiring two meetings each month. The meeting will be streamed to the City website and can be viewed on MCTV-Charter Spectrum Channel 190.

On the agenda for the 5 p.m. regular meeting:

Consent Agenda

  1.  First and final reading of an ordinance amending Chapter 96 of the Mansfield, Texas Code of Ordinance regarding Parks & Recreation.City Council Meeting Preview
  2.  Resolution authorizing an engineering services agreement with Plummer Associates for the Bud Ervin Water Treatment Plant control system replacement project for an amount not to exceed $446,552.
  3.  Resolution authorizing funding for design services by Freese and Nichols Inc. for water line route study from North Main Street to Broad Street in an amount not to exceed $86,306 (Utility Bond Fund).
  4.  Resolution approving a consulting contract for ERP Solution and RFP Development in an amount not to exceed $136,000.
  5.  Approval of minutes for the Nov. 23 regular City Council meeting.

On the agenda for the 7 p.m. public meeting:


  1.  Recognition of outgoing Planning & Zoning Commissioner Wayne Wilshire
  2.  Recognition of Public Memorials Subcommittee and Mansfield Veterans Memorial and Tribute Foundation Board
