Senior Lifestyles Programs Resume

seniors return

Senior classes and social time have resumed at the Mansfield Activities Center for the first time since COVID-19 related closures began in March of 2020. Staff is eager to see their favorite familiar faces as well as welcome in new friends while the programs ease slowly into a phased reopening plan.

Programs began June 1 with a limited schedule and plenty of modifications and precautions in place to keep everyone safe. After months of working with emergency management and health officials to ensure a safe reentry, the fun can finally get underway.

Right now, Senior Lifestyles social activities will be held on Tuesday and Thursday only, from 9-11:30 a.m. Bus transportation, lunch service and additional days are not currently available but will be added in future phases, with the goal of being fully open to a regular schedule by fall. Coffee and prepackaged snacks will be available for purchase, or members are welcome to bring their own from home.

The Senior Lifestyle T/Th program does not require any registration or fees, and is open to all seniors 55+ with a current MAC membership, available for as little as $10/person annually. Some activities require registration but no fees, and others have a small monthly fee to cover expenses. All programs are held at the MAC, 106 S. Wisteria St. See the full schedule of activities below, and contact Senior Lifestyles Manager Suzanne Newman at the Mansfield Activities Center at (817) 728-3680 with any questions.
