Council Announcements
- Mayor Michael Evans congratulated five officers with the Mansfield Police Department who recently received promotions.
Staff Comments
- City Manager Joe Smolinski congratulated Mansfield's Water Utilities department after the city's public water supply system was recognized as a "Superior" system by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. This recognition implies that Mansfield's public water supply system exceeds the acceptable standards of water treatment and system operation.
Consent Agenda
- The Council approved a resolution to amend the consultant agreement with Pacheco Koch in the amount of $56,100 for additional services related to the design development, construction documents and construction administration services for the McClendon Park Improvements project.
- The Council approved a resolution to execute a consultant agreement with Dunaway Associates, L.P., in the amount of $179,925 for design development, construction documents and construction administration services for Gertie Barrett Park.
- The Council approved a resolution that determined the construction manager-at-risk delivery method as providing the best value for construction of the McClendon Park Improvements project.
- The Council approved a resolution that determined the construction manager-at-risk delivery method as providing the best value for construction of Gertie Barrett Park.
- The Council approved a resolution authorizing the City of Mansfield to enter into an advance funding agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation for local government contributions to the Lone Star Road Bridges at U.S. Highway 287 project. That agreement is for $150,000 in funding to place decorative iron safety railings on the bridges.
- The Council approved the minutes for the June 28, 2021 regular City Council meeting.
Public Hearing Continuation and Second and Final Reading
- The Council passed the second reading of an ordinance to approve a zoning change at the M3 Ranch residential development, which is located in Johnson County, east of Farm to Market 917 and north of Bedford Road.
New Business
- The Council authorized the issuance and sale of the City of Mansfield's series 2021 certificates of obligation in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $9.5 million.
