[ARCHIVED] Family Place Workshop is back

Family Place Workshop Toys with play kitchen and bookshelf of assorted toys

The spring Family Place Workshop will occur on Saturday, April 2, 9, 16 and 23 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Mansfield Public Library community room. This is a free program, but registration is required.

Children ages 1-3 years and their caregivers are welcome to come play and learn from experts in the community. For young children, this is open and creative play with the library’s collection of educational toys. For caregivers, it’s an opportunity to engage through play with their children and learn valuable information about early childhood development from community professionals. The pandemic has created such a gap in early childhood socialization. This workshop provides a great opportunity to network with other parents and allow your little ones to play with others in a clean environment. The workshop has a limited class size and the educational toys are cleaned daily.

Family Place Workshop Prize Pack with a teddy bear, bag and bookFamily Place Workshop occurs once a week for four weeks. Caregivers and children are strongly encouraged to attend all four weeks because it creates an opportunity to get to know other parents and most importantly, a different community expert will be featured every week. The workshop will host a speech therapist, a childhood nutritionist, experts on early childhood development, and an early literacy professional. If caregivers attend all four workshop dates, they will earn a special early childhood prize pack.

Call the library at 817-728-3690 or stop by to register, starting March 8, at 10 a.m.
