Here's a recap of the April 25, 2022 regular City Council meeting.
During the public portion of the 3 p.m. work session:
- Council discussed modifications to the Mansfield Code Of Ordinances Chapter 94 "Food Establishment Regulations," and the South Mansfield form based development district.
During the public portion of the 7 p.m. meeting:
Proclamation
- Mayor Michael Evans proclaimed the month of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. Additionally, Mansfield is now designated a Purple Heart City. Also, May was proclaimed as Historic Preservation Month.
Consent Agenda
- Council passed an ordinance to adopt proposed modifications to the Mansfield Code of Ordinances Chapter 94, "Food Establishment Regulations."
- Council passed a resolution authorizing funding for the replacement of the Brown St. sewer line for an amount no to exceed $96,195.00 dollars.
- Council passed a resolution ratifying the expenditure of funds in the amount of $ 57,800.00 dollars for the rebuilding of Pump 310 at the Bud Ervin Water Treatment Plant.
- Council approved a contingent fee contract with Perdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collins, and Mott, LLP for the collection of delinquent government receivables owed to the city.
- Council approved minutes for the regular meeting held on April 11, 2022.
Public Hearing
- Council held a public hearing to discuss an application to Tarrant County for a Community Development Block Grant to fund improvements for James McKnight Park West.
Public Hearing and First Reading
- Council held a hearing and first reading regarding a proposed zoning change for more than 14 acres on 1700 North Walnut Creek Drive, generally located at the southeast intersection of Debbie Lane and North Walnut Creek Drive. This item will be heard for a second reading on the next regular City Council on May 9, 2022.
Public Hearing Continuation and Second Reading
- Council approved an ordinance for a zoning change from PR, Pre-Development District to PD, Planned Development District for a mixed lot single-family residential development (427 homes) and community business commercial on more than 121 acres located at 1100 W. Broad Street.
