Mansfield has been rated as one of the “most livable small cities in the nation,” according to a new study by SmartAsset, an online technology and financial publication.
The study focused on 286 cities with less than 100,000 residents. SmartAsset used the following metrics to establish livability; concentration of entertainment establishments, bars, restaurants, home affordability, average commute time, housing costs, poverty and unemployment rates, healthcare sites, and percentage of residents without health insurance.
Mansfield ranks at #35 in the United States and #2 in Texas, preceded by Flower Mound which ranked #4 nationally. Overall Texas has three small cities in the Top 50.
