Turkey Palooza is a collaborative effort presented by multiple city departments including the Library, Mansfield Fire and Rescue, Animal Care and Control, Environmental Services, and Water Utilities. It is a fun and unique way to experience the following:
A live cooking demo by Chef Carol Richie. She will show you how to prep a turkey for cooking, as well as how to prepare a few seasonal side dishes. This will be Carol’s third in-person appearance and she is excited to participate once again.
Learn the proper way to deep-fry a whole turkey with a live demonstration by the Mansfield Fire Department and Mayor Pro Tem, Todd Tonore.
Staff from Environmental Services and Water Utilities will teach you how to properly dispose of used cooking oil, and will provide a brief presentation on how to harvest your own rain water.
Animal Care and Control will be on hand to talk about how to keep your pets safe during the holiday season.
And if that wasn’t enough, you will also be served a FREE Thanksgiving lunch while you’re here.
In addition to some city-branded giveaways, there will also be a drawing for a FREE rain barrel courtesy of Mansfield Water Utilities.
