The Mansfield Fire Department is currently accepting applications for the next Citizens Fire Academy.
This eight-week course takes place from April 11 to May 30 and offers hands-on training to see and do what Mansfield firefighters experience daily. The program is free to Mansfield citizens and those who work in Mansfield.
Classes will meet on Tuesdays from 6-8 p.m. Classes include live burn, vehicle extrication, mobile emergency medical services, home and business fire safety, firefighter safety and protective gear, and more.
Graduates may join the Citizen’s Fire Academy Alumni Association that provides support and services to the fire department.
Applications are due by April 5.
