SRC 23 Newsflash graphic June 1- July 28

Summer Reading Challenge kicks off on Thursday, June 1. All ages can sign up to log reading and activities that go towards some awesome grand prizes. The Challenge closes at 11:59 p.m. on July 26, winners will be contacted on July 27,  and the Summer Reading End Party will finish out the challenge on July 28.

What is the Summer Reading Challenge and why is it important?

Summer Reading Challenge is an engaging learning program that encourages all ages to read over the summer for prizes and discover new things by attending library programs. Everyone is invited to join in the fun, young children to adults. There is a large body of research demonstrating that summer slide can cause students to lose 2-3 months of learning, even more for students in low income families without access to books. Now is the time to sign up for our Summer Reading Challenge and beat the summer slide!

How does it work?

  • Login to your existing Beanstack account or create a new account for yourself and the whole family using a computer or mobile device.
  • Log all activities and days of reading
  • Earn digital badges and tickets for grand prize drawings.
