Mansfield Reads! One City One Book is a community-wide reading event that encourages all Mansfield residents to read the same book at the same time. The program goals are to promote awareness of the library and foster a sense of community through reading. The concept began in Seattle in 1998 and has spread across the country into many communities large and small. In October 2022, the Friends of Mansfield Public Library is proud to bring in author Peter Heller to discuss the book The Guide.
Mansfield Public Library and the Friends of the Library will be having countless programs during the months of September and October to celebrate and create awareness of the book The Guide. Join us for the event that starts the celebration and the kick-off of READS 2022 on September 8, 2022 at 6 p.m. at Market Street. This will be a night of food, music and book lovers! Other activities include; children’s crafts, adult craft projects, hiking, and even a book discussion!
Lastly, we will be celebrating an evening with the author, Peter Heller, to discuss the Mansfield READS 2022 book on October 18, 2022 at 7 p.m. at Legacy High School. Be a part of this exciting night!
