West Nile Virus Warning from Tarrant County Public Health
While the Coronavirus might be top of mind right now, Tarrant County Public Health is reminding residents to take the proper protective measures against the West Nile virus. To reduce the risk of getting mosquito bites, remember the four D's:
- Dusk to Dawn - stay indoors when mosquitoes are active
- Drain standing water in your yard where water might collect in places like flower pots, toys, clogged rain gutters and wading pools
- Dress in light-colored long sleeves and pants
- DEET - apply repellant when outdoors
