1. How can I voice my concerns about a proposed project in the city?: First, contact the Planning Department to find all the relevant information about the project. Next, the city has several avenues for citizens to express their opinions about the development projects in the city. Some of the options are: Attend Planning and Zoning Commission public hearings to learn about the project and voice your opinions. Attend City Council public hearings to learn about the project and voice your opinions.

2. When and where are City Council meetings held?

Regular City Council meetings are held every other Monday at the City Council chambers in Mansfield City Hall, located at 1200 E. Broad St. The public portions of City Council meetings are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Work sessions and executive sessions often precede the public portions of regular City Council meetings.

3. Is there a filing fee to run for City Council?: No, there is no filing fee.

4. Are the City Council meetings televised?: Yes, they are televised live on Channel 190 through Charter Communications and on Channel 99 on AT&T U-Verse. You can also watch the City Council meetings live on the Internet.

5. How do I communicate with the Council if I'm hearing impaired or physically challenged?: City Hall is wheelchair accessible. Parking spaces for disabled citizens are available.
