1. Does the City of Mansfield provide trash carts for residents?

Currently, the City of Mansfield does not provide trash carts for residents. Residents may purchase their own carts or put trash in bags that are securely tied and place on curb for pick-up on their regularly scheduled days.

2. Is there someplace I can take my limbs and brush trimmings?

Brush, limbs, yard debris and twigs will be collected if tied in bundles no more than 4 feet in length and weighing approximately 50 pounds or less each. Place on the curb for pick-up on your regularly scheduled trash pick-up days.  

Residents may also request a bulky brush pick up for non-bundled tree limbs and tree debris that has been cut to 6 feet sections or 50 pounds pieces for a fee of $125 per hour with a minimum of 1 hour charge. Residents must contact Utility Billing at 817-276-4200 to request the service. Tree limbs and tree debris may also be hauled by residents to one of the landfills available. The landfill information sheet has information on vouchers and landfill rates. 

You can also bring in brush during our twice-yearly Chunk Your Junk events.

3. How do I dispose of bulky items like furniture?

Please call Republic Services at 817-317-2000 or visit their website to arrange for a special truck to pick up these items:

• Appliances (excluding any refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners or other appliances that do not contain written or visual evidence that the chlorofluorocarbons (CFC) have been removed by a certified, authorized and licensed technician)
• Dryers
• Furniture
• Stoves
• Washing machines
• Water tanks

4. How do I get a voucher to use the landfill?

Residents of Mansfield can also use a landfill site operated by Republic Services located at one of the following locations:

6288 Salt Road
Fort Worth, TX 76140

800 Mosier Valley Road
Euless, TX 76040

There is a charge to use the facility, and proof of residency is required. Residents are eligible for up to two landfill vouchers per year. Vouchers can be picked up at the Utility Billing desk located in City Hall during normal operating hours.

5. Should I put items in the recycle cart if I'm not sure they can be recycled?

Only items that can be recycled should be placed into the recycle cart. If you are not sure if something can be recycled, please visit Can I Recycle It?,  a free search tool, to see the best way to dispose of many household items.

6. How do I request or exchange a recycle cart?

Residents can use this form to request or exchange a recycling cart. If you have requested an exchange, you may still use the larger cart until your exchange has been completed. Exchanges will be completed on the first Wednesday of the month.

7. When is the next Chunk Your Junk event?

Residents can check the Environmental Services calendar or view upcoming Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off Events and Chunk Your Junk & Shred Days  and sign up for reminders using the Can I Recycle It? Environmental Services Event tab.

8. How do I get rid of things like paint and pool chemicals?

Residents may dispose of household hazardous waste such as aerosol cans, paint and cleaning products at the Environmental Collection Center on the second Saturday of each month, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the Thursday and Friday before the second Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m. Proof of residency is required.

9. What do I do with old televisions and computers?

Residents may dispose of electronic waste at the Environmental Collection Center on the second Saturday of each month, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the Thursday and Friday before the second Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m. A driver's license for proof of residency is required.
