  12. Tutor Doctor Stem Camp- Big Engineers STEM Camp (9-12Y)

    June 29, 2020, 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM @ Mansfield Activities Center

Older campers are skeptical about the purpose of math in their life. Engineering is a great way to demonstrate its function and teach your child some valuable skills. Your camper will learn how to use critical thinking and problem solving skills to design age-appropriate projects from a set of everyday items provided by our team. They will learn how to rely on their own thinking skills and learn some basic physics properties along the way. This camp will complete 3-4 take-home projects along with additional projects using "Erector" construction sets to facilitate some more advanced skills. These projects will be available for parental viewing on Friday during show and tell hour. Watch as your camper learns to think on their own and problem solve, while becoming more aware of the math and physics in their daily life.

Camp will be held from 06/20-07/03.

  1. Support Now Network Meeting

    June 15, 2020, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Mansfield Activities Center

Caring for and supporting a loved one with a mental health challenge can be overwhelming at times and caretakers often become victims of the process themselves due to lack of support and resources. With this in mind, the Mansfield Police Department created a caretaker support group called the Support Now Network where caretakers have the opportunity to gain and give support, share struggles, and discover beneficial strategies and resources to help themselves and their loved one. The Support Now Network is a safe, non-judgmental, and welcoming environment which is facilitated by a certified Mental Health/Crisis Intervention Officer with years of experience in this area who also teaches Crisis Intervention and mental health related courses to officers from all over the Metroplex.
