  1. 2019 Holiday Grease Roundup

    November 25, 2019 - January 6, 2020, 12:00 AM @ Environmental Collection Center (ECC)

    Don't pour your holiday grease down the drain! Grease clogs your pipes and can even cause sewer backups. Protect your home, city and environment by recycling it during this regional collection event. Collected cooking oil and grease will be used to create biodiesel or turn it into biogas for energy production. Follow the signs on Wisteria Street and drop off your used oil at the collection station outside the gate near the dumpster.

    Children 3-6 years old, both English and Spanish speakers, with a caregiver can enjoy 30 minutes of books, songs, finger-plays and rhymes in both English and Spanish. This story time fosters emergent literacy, reinforces group listening skills and allows children to become familiar with a second language. Bilingual Story Time is every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. No registration is required.

  10. Bark Ranger (15Y+)

    November 26, 2019, 2:00 PM - 3:15 PM @ Elmer W. Oliver Nature Park

    Bring your furry four-legged friend to our new Bark Ranger course! We will talk about Leave No Trace and outdoor safety for pets as well as create a memory keepsake. Then we will go for a hike around Oliver Nature Park to learn about the history and unique features it has to offer. Upon completion of your Bark Ranger training, you and your pet will receive a certificate, honorary Bark Ranger dog tag, collapsible food bowl, and puppy treats. All dogs must be on a fixed leash. 1 dog per registered person. Children may attend with registered adult. Current rabies certificate must be brought to each class. Don’t have a dog? You can participate with a shelter dog! When you sign up you will be asked if you would like to participate with a shelter dog or bring your own dog.

  3. Family Nerf Night

    November 26, 2019, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Mansfield Activities Center

    Team up with your family and friends for a night filled with fun. A variety of obstacles and barriers will be set up in the gym. Dart bullets will be provided but bring your own Nerf blaster. Registration is required and MAC cardholders receive a $1 discounts. 12 & under must register with an adult who also plays.

    Note: This option is geared toward families to play together for fun.

    Each player needs to bring their own Nerf blaster that uses dart style bullets (dart bullets provided). Do not bring your own darts. Registration required. 12 & under must attend with an adult who also plays. Eye protection is recommended. MAC Cardholders get $1 off.
