Discover your local history at the Man House Museum during our Hands-On History event! Experience a tour of the Man House Museum to learn about the Man family, and then participate in a hands-on history activity that is fun for all ages. This program is free, but supplies are limited. What do you do with your broken stuff? Toss it? No way! Volunteer repair experts will be available to help make all possible repairs free of charge and to demonstrate the processes used in repair. Bring along your broken items from home. Volunteer repairers will welcome clothes and other textiles, toys, lamps, electric clocks, appliances, jewelry, small pieces of furniture, picture frames, and other odd and unusual items needing repair. Please bring any other replacement parts that may be required. Note that clothing is accepted for repair, not alteration. All are welcome. Repair Café visitors will be registered upon arrival and will be assisted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sewing just got easier! Join Mansfield Public Library to learn the basics of sewing. Learn beginners sewing skills, how to use a sewing machine and create different sewing projects. This program was funded in part by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. Program is FREE and registration is required.
