  1. Kickoff Meeting for the Joe Pool Lake Watershed Protection Plan

    November 12, 2020, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Face-to-face or virtual. Location for face-to-face: Ruthe Jackson Center

    The Trinity River Authority of Texas (TRA), Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the cities of Cedar Hill, Grand Prairie, Mansfield, and Midlothian are partnering with local governments, business owners, and residents to protect and improve water quality in the Joe Pool Lake watershed through the development of a watershed protection plan. The public is invited to attend the project kickoff meeting and meet fellow watershed stakeholders face-to-face or virtually.

  2. Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off

    November 12, 2020, 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Environmental Collection Center (ECC)

    The Environmental Collection Center is the City's permanent drop-off facility for unwanted household hazardous materials (anything with a warning label), electronics and recyclables. This facility is operated by the City's Environmental Services Department and is open the second Saturday of every month from 10 am - 3 pm, and the Thursday and Friday before the second Saturday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

  1. Zoom Bilingual Storytime

    Children 3-6 years old, both English and Spanish speakers with a caregiver can enjoy 30 minutes of books, songs, finger-plays and rhymes in both English and Spanish. This story time fosters emergent literacy, reinforces group listening skills and allows children to become familiar with a second language.
