Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off

The Environmental Collection Center (ECC) is the City's permanent drop-off facility for unwanted household hazardous materials (anything with a warning label), electronics and recyclables. This facility is operated by the City's Environmental Services Department, and is open the second Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., and the Thursday and Friday before the second Saturday, from 3 - 7 p.m.

Homeschool Art Club

Come learn about an artist, their techniques and participate in a hands on art project the second Thursday of each month. Program is free but registration is required.

Salt Dough Keepsakes

Bring the family to celebrate the season with a special DIY project. Create holiday keepsakes with us as we mix and form our own salt dough ornaments! Program is a come-and-go format and all supplies are provided.

Chess Club

Learn how to play chess or just brush up on your skills. All ages and levels welcome. This program is free with no registration required.

Kids in the Kitchen

Stir up something delicious with Mrs. Brown from Brown Baking X3. Kids age 5 to 7 will get hands-on cooking skills making a yummy recipe. All supplies are provided for this free kids cooking class. Registration is required This program was made possible by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Texas State Library and Archives Commission.
