Listener's Story Time (3-6Y)

Children 3-6 years old with a caregiver can enjoy 30 minutes of books, songs and a craft. Listener’s Story Time fosters emergent literacy, reinforces group listening skills, creativity and allows children to interact with others. Listener’s Story Time is every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. No registration required.

Family Place Playtime (0-5Y)

Come in for open playtime in our Family Place Library area. Bring your young children to play with others while building skills through play. Playtime is open from 11-12 p.m. every Wednesday and Friday. Parents are required to remain with children at all times. No registration is required.

Monthly Maker Moments (18+)

Is there something you want to make but don't have the equipment or means to do it? Come to MPL's Monthly Maker Moments! Utilize the Mobile Makerspace to make that dream come to life. Training on equipment, staff supervision, and registration are required. 30 minute time slots available. Not all supplies can be provided. Staff will contact you ahead of time to learn more about your project. This program was funded in part by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Texas State Library and Archives Commission.

Nature Arts & Crafts - Rock Painting (5Y+)

Get crafty with nature! Painting rock faces is a fun way to use your imagination. Each kit includes 9 rocks, acrylic paint, paintbrushes and a large tree cookie.

Preschool Picassos (1-5Y)

Make a memory with your toddler as you create a Under the Pond themed painting together. Pre-registration required.

Hike with a Naturalist - Bug Hike (All Ages)

Join us for a hike all about bugs! We will search for insects that call the park home as well as catch bugs to ID in the prairie during the hike.
