Library Children's Programs

Family Place Libraries LogoLibrary programs are designed to entertain, enlighten, educate, and inform. They are vehicles for dispensing valuable information, encouraging learning and exploration, providing amusement while teaching, and provoking wonder and thought.

Please remember that while in the Library, children under age 12 must be attended by a parent or caregiver who is at least 17 years of age.

Family Place Library

The Mansfield Public Library is a now a designated Family Place Library!  Family Place Libraries are a national initiative designed to expand the roles of libraries in the community and promote early childhood development.  In addition to open educational play, the Mansfield Public Library offers a Family Place Workshop twice a year.  The workshop is for children ages 1-3 and their caregivers to learn through play and interact with community professionals about early childhood development.  Call the library at 817-728-3690 to find out about the next Family Place Workshop or see the library calendar for the next Family Place Playtime.

Open play is always available in the children's area whenever the library is open. For more information about Family Place Libraries visit
